Silent Night

On this arrangement I tried to create the sound of flowing wind or water with a simple melody on top. This is especially the case on the third verse. The key is not to be too concerned with hitting all the right notes in the left hand but to keep a consistent tempo in the right. Also, do your best to keep the volume of the left hand lower than the right. This beautiful hymn is meant to sound peacefully.

1. Silent night! Holy night!
All is calm, all is bright
Round yon virgin mother and Child.
Holy Infant, so tender and mild,
Sleep in heavenly peace;
Sleep in heavenly peace.

2. Silent night! Holy night!
Shepherds quake at the sight!
Glories stream from heaven afar;
Heav’nly hosts sing Alleluia!
Christ, the Savior, is born!
Christ, the Savior, is born!

3. Silent night! Holy night!
Son of God, love’s pure light
Radiant beams from thy holy face,
With the dawn of redeeming grace,
Jesus, Lord, at thy birth;
Jesus, Lord, at thy birth.
